María Peinador González
Welcome! I am María Peinador González, Criminologist and PhD Candidate in Law from the King Juan Carlos University, specialized in the international protection of Human Rights and Children’s Rights; expert in the study and fight against Human Trafficking.
For almost the last decade I have worked in different social entities dedicated to the eradication and assistance to victims of trafficking, I have conducted training courses on this subject in different public and private institutions for more than a dozen professional profiles, I have had the opportunity to participate as a speaker at conferences and national and international congresses on the subject, and I have been able to develop research that shed light on the dark reality of this crime.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Human trafficking is one of the biggest crimes of international scope that is currently taking place. It has criminal, violent and economic connotations, related to the systematic violation of human rights, gender and migration; there is no country that is not affected by it, and its victims are women, men, girls and boys.
DISSEMINATION
Have you ever wondered why human trafficking is confused with human smuggling in television, movies or even in books? My goal in the development of the dissemination work is to educate the population in the understanding of human trafficking, bringing the phenomenon closer to their daily realities to facilitate their knowledge and, if necessary, help the victims with a future detection.
PROYECTOS
Throughout my life, if there has been something that has characterized me, it has been my desire to change things and to help, with my actions, those around me. The projects I have been developing all these years are a reflection of this irrepressible motivation: human projects, projects made from the heart, projects with which I have been able to travel the world, projects designed by and for people.
